Ego Rebellion Awareness is Key for How to Find True Love
By Coach Colleen | February 29, 2008
Becoming aware of your ego is a key to finding true love within yourself and in the world. And, am I here to tell you that it is not easy.
In A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle says that our egos are dysfunctional because they are based on second-hand patterns that we inherited from out family and our culture. I’m going to add the media into mix – TV, Movies, and now the internet.
Becoming aware that our ego is often driven by our preconditioned responses is key to our developing our own patterns, our own lives, maybe even our own ego.. and finding true love within ourselves and in the world.
Coach Colleen…
discover the desires of your heart and find true love within yourself and in the world
PS
Join me and millions of all over the world in reading Eckart Tolle”s A New Earth, Oprah’s book of the month. I love it. I can’t get through a paragraph without relating it to my life and my successful quest for true love by changing my consciousness. I am so excited I can hardly stop reading long enough to capture my thoughts.
Here is how I feel when I become alive within myself - exhilarated and ready to BE in the world.
I’m reading only a few pages a day and then capturing my thoughts on Eckhart Tolle’s philosophical writing. I’m always relating it to how to find true love. Sometimes it’s at the end sometimes the entire article.
I would like to thank Mr. Tolle for his wonderful guidance. I sincerely hope I do it justice. You can find the entire series at my hub page.
My Hub page name is Coach Colleen.
Here’s Part 1 - How to Find True Love, A New Earth Discussion

Oprah’s 4 interviews with Jill Bolte Taylor were the first that Oprah did after Eckhart Tolle and they take everything Tolle talks about to another level. Oprah’s copy of Jill’s book, MY STROKE OF INSIGHT, was dog-eared and all marked up and kept reading from it the way she read from A New Earth and recommended it highly.
Oprah’s recommendation was enough for me. I read My Stroke of Insight and I loved it too. This story is as inspiring as The Last Lecture or Tuesdays with Morrie - and even better, it has a Happy Ending!
I bought the book on Amazon because they have it for 40% off retail and they also had an amazing interview with Dr Taylor that I haven’t seen anywhere else - Here is the Amazon link:

Hi Matthew,
I didn’t read this one, but I’m going to get it. It’s always nice to take conceptual principles to a deeper level.
I wrote 21 hubpages on how Tolle’s work impacted, influence, and showed up in my life.
I’m anxious to see how they compare to what Jill and Oprah talked about.

I’d love any feedback and comments for others that you might have.

I read “My Stroke of Insight” in one sitting - I couldn’t put it down. I laughed. I cried. It was a fantastic book (I heard it’s a NYTimes Bestseller and I can see why!), but I also think it will be the start of a new, transformative Movement! No one wants to have a stroke as Jill Bolte Taylor did, but her experience can teach us all how to live better lives. Her TED.com speech was one of the most incredibly moving, stimulating, wonderful videos I’ve ever seen. Her Oprah Soul Series interviews were fascinating. They should make a movie of her life so everyone sees it. This is the Real Deal and gives me hope for humanity.

I think I am supposed to read this book because a neighbor mentioned Jill Taylor and TED.com just this morning. I did order her book yesterday
This is synchronicity at work. I’ve been looking for another topic for my next Coach Colleen hubpages.com series. This just might be it.
Thanks for sharing your passion. That’s what I love about this life. Just like Jill, you are sharing yourself.
It’s a bit scary for me sometimes. But you know what, I’m the real deal for ME, MYSELF and I.

Matthew and Dayequan
I just receive the book in the mail and started reading it this morning - Monday. Wow, I could hardly stop. It is fascinating. I’m loving the Simple Science chapter for a couple of reasons. First, I have a cousin who has been in a coma for several weeks. They are worried about brain damage. He squeezed his wife’s hand the other day - hope is mounting.
Second, it parallels what I present in my Total True Love system. How to consciously combine the thinking and feeling parts of our brain to find the right love for us. It is powerful and it works.
I’m challenged because I want to present details science which most people don’t care about and I’m not an expert in. I’m an applied behavioral scientist.
I’m off to work and will read more at noon.
Thanks for brining this to my attention.
