Does just doing it work for finding your true love? Once in a while, sure. But if you don’t want to take chances with your heart, just doing it probably isn’t for you.
What to do if you don’t want to take chances. First, get to know your own heart. Learn about where feeling and reason intersect for you. This is called self-awareness and it’s empowering. Give it a try and see what comes up for you. I’d love to hear from you.

Reason and emotion made me laugh today. I took a break from computer work and played one song on the piano. I sang my heart out–emotion! When I got back to my computer, I couldn’t type! I made tons of typos, my fingers felt really cramped and kept searching for the black keys. Even when I realized I was doing it, it was several more sentences before I could get the typo ratio down. I just couldn’t get my brain out of the emotional and into the reason side that easily. It was a clear demonstration of how different my thinking brain and my emotional brain operate.
