Love story - write your own script
By Coach Colleen | August 30, 2006
A busy young couple worked together in their very successful business. They spent most of their time together renovating old buildings. The results were spectacular and they reveled in their accomplishments.
Yet, they forgot to revel in their love and for a time they lost it. Then there was a death in the family, and the husband went to take care of estate business. There he was forced to take time. Amazingly in that time he re-found himself, then he found joy in his very life.
When the wife came to tell him she was divorcing him, she found the man she had fallen in love with. She felt a calm and an inner joy with this man that she didn’t experience with her business-partner husband.
The story has a bitter sweet ending. The young husband is killed. The wife who re-experiencing her joy in her husband, knew he had found a treasure far beyond the money they made in their thriving business. She decided to stay in this new physical environment and re-claim the joy in her life.
Slow down and re-claim your joy. Too often we don’t take the time until faced with a tragic situation.
If you had to re-write the ending to this story what would it be. I’d love you to share your script.

Reclaim the joy in yourself … and find true love.
PS… Your first true love is yourself

Maybe the story has a different ending. Maybe she found the man she had fallen in love with and they had two children together. Maybe their priorities changed and they readjusted the balance between work and family. And maybe they did live happily ever after, just like their metaphor for true love!

Yes, there are lots of possible endings. Is there one of your options that appeals to you more than another?
