Relationship Advice for Men
By Coach Colleen | February 28, 2009
Hello,
Sit back and imagine a young woman in her early twenties. New in town, she had no clue how to meet people. She had answered an ad in the local paper for a housemate. He was a friendy guy in his early 30’s who seemed like he was going to be fun to be around, so she moved in.
Turns out he was either working or out most nights. She hardly got to know him the entire time she lived there.
Lonelier by the second
Growing lonelier by the second, she grabbed her novel and went to the local Denny’s Restruarnt to be around people and for an endless cup of coffee. And, that is where it all started.
She was NOT the only lonely person in San Diego.
You see this young woman was me. I was painfully shy and, coming from a very small midwest town, I did not have a clue where to meet people in a big city. Drinking coffee and reading was safe for me, and I became a regular.
I was not the only lonely person in San Diego. Many showed up at that same Denny’s every night like I did. Who showed up were men in their late 30’s to 50’s who were having marital problems or were divorced.
My career as in relationship counseling started at Denny’s in San Diego.
Thanks guys…
I’d like to thank my absent housemate and the guys at the counter at all the Denny’s Restruarants for leading me towards my life’s work - helping strong guys who find their inner voice. I’ve been counseling or coaching men about finding their inner knowing and inner voice ever since.
I”m realizing that I have focused on women, but I am also really good at coaching me.
Coach Colleen
Guys, you can find true love by finding your inner voice - your inner self.
