True Love: Your Definition is Essential
By Coach Colleen | April 21, 2008
Yes, to find your essential definition of true love, your irresistible definition of true love, you have to disentangle from all your second-hand learning about love and look inside of yourself. If you haven’t heard it before, let me say that finding total true love is first an inside job.
According to Eckhart Tolle in A New Earth you have to dis-identify with your past and with your present attachments to form. What he is talking about in terms of form are things you identify yourself with. Such as you wealth, you looks, you athletic ability, your sense of yourself as a victim, you car, etc. It’s all those worldly items and thoughts that you use to define you.
What Tolle suggests is that you find your essential self - the you that is beyond the right and wrongs of worldly form. I agree in that when you find your essential self and discover your irresistible definition of true love, you’ll find true love in the world.
