YES! Man … Leads to True Love
By Coach Colleen | February 20, 2009
Hello,
Last night I saw the movie YES! staring Jim Carrie. It was laugh out loud movie. It had also a bait and switch message.
Have you ever been to a rah! rah! motivational seminar. The ones with multi-media shows, energy that is over the top, upbeat buying-inducing music. Then the speaker whips the crowd into a frenzy, gets endorphins surging through you blood stream, you are higher than high. The next day you wonder how you could have possibly purchased a $10,000 self-help, change my life starting right now program.
If you’ve been to one of these events, you are going to love YES!.
The key that is givin in that movie that you may not realize is ever so true is that your consciousness is behind your life. According to the beginning of the movie, the stimulus for changing your consciousness and start LIVING lies outside of yourself. He made a covenant with the Speaker to always say YES! In this case, everyone else knows what is best for you. All you have to do is say yes! And, if you say no ‘the wrath of the Universe’ will descend upon you.
Remember that concept - you get what you believe? Well, in the movie, Jim Carrie believed and ever time he said no the wrath of the Universe descended upon him. So, he started saying Yes to everthing even when he really wanted to say NO!
This is how most people experience love relationships. They say YES even though something inside of them is questioning. I’ve said yes more than one time because I wanted so much to be loved. I wanted so much not to be alone.
The key is being discreminating about your YESes. Saying yes to doing new and exciting things expands your horizons. Saying yes to marrying the wrong someone causes and implosion and depression. The question is how do you know if this person is Mr. or Mrs. Right?
How do you know?
You discover your irresistible definition of true love ™. Once you do this, your true love and you will find each other.
Yes Jim Carrie found his irresistible definition of true love and his true love by saying no to his past.
The bait and switch of the movies is that JC discovered that he had to say Yes to himself and that that answer was within himself - NOT outside of himself.
What do you think JC’s irresistible definiton of true love is? Be wild and imaginative in your ideas.
Please share them with all of us.
